2026 FWA Training League - Week 2 Results

Round two of the FWA Training league was hosted by Honiton at Offwell yet again after the venue had to be changed due to the original venue at Haldon being waterlogged.

The weather for the day was very drizzly and overcast, but did not detract from some fierce competitive pulling once again with some good ends, with one going well over 4 minutes.

The event started with the men’s 600kg. 4 teams weighed in with Anstey the winners and Sandhurst the runner up, followed by Felton and then Haldon.

The 600kg was followed the men’s 680kg alongside the ladies / Youth 600kg with 4 teams weighed in in the men’s and 3 in the Ladies / Youth.

The men’s was won by Anstey with Felton the runner up then Sandhurst and then Yarcombe.

The ladies / Youth was won by Beaminster Youth with Anstey Ladies the runner up then Felton Youth in third.

Next up was the men’s 640kg again run alongside the Ladies / Youth 580kg and 6 teams entered the Men’s and again 3 teams entered the Ladies/Youth.

Felton A were the victors in the men’s 640kg weight with Felton B the runner up, then Sandhurst followed by Anstey, Yarcombe and finally Haldon.

In the Ladies / Youth Felton youth came out on top with Anstey ladies the runner up, then Beaminster youth in third.

The event finished up with the 620kg mixed. 4 teams entered and Anstey won it with Felton second then Beaminster Youth third and finally Yarcombe.

Thanks to Honiton once again for stepping in at short notice to host this event and Jonny Neal who acted as chief Judge for the day with judges Nick Major, Tim Tatler and Andrew Mutton and Jane Major and Sharon Hutchins the timekeeper/recorders.
