Competition Rules

An updated version of TOWA competition rules will be made available after the 2020 January AGM

In addition to the rules contained in the above document, some rules were subject to amendment or new rules were put forward and agreed at the 2020 TOWA AGM. Click here for a list of rules being implemented in 2020.

Anchor Protection Rules

At the 2023 TWIF Congress in Mannheim, a new amendment was passed that concerned the anchors protection and how it should be worn, the wording is described in the attached PDF. This significant change will affect any team that attends a TWIF championship in future and because of this, the TOWA General Committee held a ‘virtual meeting’ to discuss its implications.

It was agreed that the TOWA would adopt this new amendment with immediate effect. Implementation will be achieved by education and encouragement over the next few weeks, however from the National Championship (June 17th 2023) onwards this amended rule will become the accepted rule as standard.
