2026 FWA Training League - Week 3 Results

The third round of the 2026 FWA Training league hosted by Honiton at Offwell. This event, at least, did not have to move due to the weather for a change and those taking part were greeted with a nice sunny day.

Once again we started with the men’s 600kg. 4 teams weighed in with Anstey the winners and Felton the runner up, followed by Sandhurst and finally Honiton.

The men’s 680kg then followed alongside the ladies / youth 600kg. 5 teams weighed in in the men’s and 4 in the ladies / youth.

The men’s was won by Anstey with Felton the runner up, then followed by Sandhurst, Honiton and finally the fast improving Combe Tuggers.

In the ladies / youth, Beaminster Youth A came out on top with Beaminster Youth B the runner up, followed by Combe Tuggers ladies and then Anstey Ladies.

Next up was the men’s 640kg, again run alongside the ladies / youth 580kg.  4 teams entered the Men’s and again 4 teams entered the ladies / youth. Anstey were the victors in the men’s weight with Felton the runner up, then Sandhurst, followed by Honiton. The ladies / youth was won by Beaminster Youth with Sherbourne Youth the runner up, then came Anstey Ladies and finally Felton Youth.

We finished up with the 620kg mixed with 3 teams entered. Anstey won it, with Felton second then Combe Tuggers.

So with the league point so very close in some weight for the winners and runner up spots it’s all to play for in the final round and should make for some very interesting pulling.

Thanks to Honiton and Offwell village hall committee for hosting this event again. Andrew Mutton acted as chief Judge for the day with fellow judges Michael Melrose, Nick Major and Jonny Neal. Jane Major and Sharon Hutchnins were the timekeeper / recorders for the event.
